Disco Deep Cuts
I grew up in a time when disco was a joke. What? It still is? No. You must be mistaken. See, disco is back. Daft Punk says so. Are you sure? Still a joke, huh? Well, then I’m glad we chose it as the topic for our comedic webcomic today.
I still think you’re mistaken.
Disco Duck
Unlike Pablo, I grew up with disco in the late ’70s. It was the sweet Similac of my youth. I didn’t hate it.
I loved the nightlife. I liked to boogie. I owned the Mickey Mouse disco album. But of course, I was a teenaged music snob and grew out of liking it and it’s taken many, many years for my ears to crave that sound again.
My wife actually really digs that kind of music and with the new Daft Punk, we’ve found some common ground.
But, seriously, you should listen to it. It’s pretty great.
