Twerk Stoppage
I’ve been a strong proponent of twerking for some time now, but I think we’ve finally taken it too far — to a twerking point in history, if you will. What exactly have we wrought?
Twerking will eat itself
Usually when something disgusting happens that everybody’s talking about, I jump all up in there to see what the hubbub is about, bub.
But with this Miley Cyrus thing, my curiosity was overridden by just not caring and not wanting to succumb to a meal I knew would give me a nasty stomachache. As the saying goes, I just can’t with this.
All the photos and Twitter posts I saw about it were plenty. Then the backlash and the response to the backlash and then the wave of people saying they’d had enough of this Miley twerk thing. It cycled itself out pretty quickly. I absorbed the incident by social media osmosis. I feel like I’m up to speed and can move on from here without actually having consumed the poison pill.
Instead we made a comic about it and that feels a lot better than entering the Ouroboros.
