A Snail’s Pace

by PJ on December 12, 2013 at 12:08 am
Chapter: Comic
Characters: Dr. Mental, meany

I’ve never been much of a winter films person, but Catching Fire was enough to get me out into the cold and into a theater. I won’t bore you with a review, just a quick statement — definitely better than the first movie and much closer to the book.

I also managed to catch Frozen on Omar’s recommendation and was pleasantly surprised with it. I now like warm hugs.

As for Turbo… I didn’t see it and we assume it’s a punchline.

Movie time

by Omar G. on December 12, 2013 at 11:48 am

I’ve been on vacation recently, which means I’ve actually had time to go see some movies. Frozen was beloved by my girls and Catching Fire was the rare movie adaptation where it didn’t feel like a whole lot went missing from the book.

I asked my girls if they wanted to see Turbo a few months back and even at almost 4 and 6 years old, they gave me a look of distaste suggesting they’d rather just take their chances with whatever’s on Netflix.
