Friday Nightlights
I find it very funny that even though I’m the football nut in the famly, it was Omar that tipped me off on the Friday Night Lights series being good. I had passed on both the book and the movie the series is based on and really had no interest in the series either, but Omar is rarely wrong about good television.
The characters and storylines are interesting and captures the feel of small town Texas. Plus, it’s always nice to hear little touches of realism like a coach telling a tailback to go North and South.
Watch it!
Friday Night Lights IS good TV, nourishing and filling, yet with no bad aftertaste. It is not just a meal of a television show, it’s five courses and leftovers.
This is even if you, like me, don’t know what “North and south” means. Are those parts of the field? I haven’t the fog.
PJ got me hooked on Pardon the Interruption so I thought I’d return the favor. This exchange of preferences seems to work well for us given that our similar DNA responds well to the same specific stimuli.
More comic adventures on Monday. See ya then!
