Inbox Infinite
This comic is about email and the special Hell that most of us experience trying to get to that sublime Inbox Zero.
I’ve done it once or twice, or at least gotten my email down to one screen, no scrolling, but these days my work email inbox is in the 400s-600s and my Gmail… don’t even get me started on Gmail. If you use a mail client with it, you tend to find out late in the game that all those messages you thought you were deleting are actually still there, lurking like stabbers, in a “Deleted Messages” folder or in “All Mail” and that you still have to go into Gmail proper (or “Propah” if you’re fancy) and delete it all again.
There are emails I swear I’ve never even seen lurking in Gmail, in neck folds and belly corners, hidden from the inbox yet still unread and unpleasant.
I hope Meany just keeps accumulating email. Getting it down to zero is probably more stress than its worth.
Boxing
I think this whole idea was the result of enjoying the new iOS app Mailbox. It pretty much has inspired me to try and get to inbox zero from inbox 17,000. That is no exaggeration. I wish I had taken a screengrab before I got started. But I suppose this is good enough:

I’m at inbox 2,500 right now and it feels pretty good. I think I’m going to keep plugging away. But I still haven’t figured out how to get rid of email sperm.
